Seattle – The King County Council met Monday afternoon to discuss an ordinance that would impose a two-year congestion reduction charge or $20 on vehicle registration renewals in the county that would preserve over 600,000 hours of Metro Transit service. After listening to over three hours of public testimony the expected decision was delayed until the August 15th Council meeting just one day before the decision to pass the ordinance or place it on the November ballot for the people to decide directly. The July 25th meeting was expected to result in a decision after three previous standing-room-only hearings had taken place over the last month to gage the opinion of county residents....
